Thomas Emmer, an American attorney and seasoned politician, has represented Minnesota's 6th congressional district in the U.S. since January 2015. Currently, Emmer is serving his prominent fourth term.

Born in 1961 and raised in Minnesota, Emmer spent his formative years at St. Thomas Academy before pursuing higher education. His interest in Politics led him to attain a BA in Political Science from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks. Further bolstering his academic credentials, he gained a JD from William Mitchell College of Law.
Professional Journey and Public Service
Following several years of practicing law, Emmer ventured into entrepreneurship by opening his own law firm. Over the subsequent 20 years, he adeptly balanced his personal life, business commitments, and a passion for coaching hockey, all while serving on the city councils in Independence and Delano. Before his significant tenure in Congress, Emmer dedicated his efforts to the Minnesota House of Representatives, serving from 2004-2008.
