Peter Mintzberg is the CEO of Grayscale Investments, a leading cryptocurrency investment firm based in New York City. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer and Industrial Engineering from Federal University in Brazil. He furthered his education at Stanford University Graduate School of Business and later completed an MBA in Finance & Strategy from Harvard University.
Career
Mintzberg began his career as a Management Consultant at McKinsey & Co. in New York in 2004. In 2006, he joined BlackRock, where he served as Director of Strategy and Business Development and later as COO and Head of Strategy for Latin America & Iberia. In 2013, Mintzberg moved to OppenheimerFunds, where he eventually became Chief Strategy Officer and Global Head of Corporate Development. From 2020 to 2021, he was Managing Director at Apollo Global Management Inc. He then joined Goldman Sachs in 2021, where he held roles including Global Head of Strategy for Goldman Sachs Asset Management and Goldman Sachs Asset & Wealth Management.

In May 2024, Mintzberg was appointed CEO of Grayscale Investments, succeeding Michael Sonnenshein. With over 20 years of Wall Street experience, Mintzberg brings significant expertise to his new role at Grayscale, a firm known for its focus on transparency, regulatory compliance, and innovative cryptocurrency investment products.
