Osmosis “Scambuster Upgrade” ready to go live to combat surge in spam events
Osmosis ready to release v11.0.0 codenamed the "Scambuster Upgrade" in response to recent spam events

Exploring Cosmos’ interoperable blockchain network, IBC innovations, and ecosystem expansion.
The Osmosis chain on Cosmos has been restarted after several days offline due to required upgrades to fix a bug that created a liquidity exploit.
Attackers exploited a bug, initially pointed out in a reddit thread, that allowed users to gain 50% more tokens while adding and withdrawing liquidity on Osmosis.
Cosmos shows that slow and steady wins the race.
Over a period of five months, IBC saw an elevenfold increase in activity showing that the Cosmos ecosystem is booming.
Decentralized exchanges (DEXes) and Proof-of-Stake (PoS) blockchains typically compete for the same resources, however, the new feature native to the Osmosis zone on Cosmos, enables users to simultaneously use their tokens for staking and liquidity providing (LP).
Holding off an extra few days will ensure a smooth launch of the network, Evmos said.
