Unstoppable Domains and Pudgy Penguins Enable Web3 Domain Sign-In to Pudgy World

Web3 domain names and digital identity provider Unstoppable Domains has announced an integration with the popular Pudgy Penguins NFT collection, allowing users to use their .pudgy domain names to access Pudgy World.

According to the press release shared with Cryptonews, “this feature marks a significant step forward in virtual world accessibility and user experience by enabling single sign-on capabilities via a user-owned custom digital identity.”

The benefits of the integration include simplified access and adding a layer of ownership to users’ Pudgy World experience

Therefore, users are not restricted to signing in using their traditional passwords and Web2 credentials via Google or Apple. Instead, they can use their personalized .pudgy domains to access the platform.

This log-in method enables autonomy, privacy, and long-term control over their digital identities, the teams remarked.

The .pudgy domain login feature will launch in the fourth quarter of this year.

Moreover, “both companies are exploring additional features.” These include profile badges for .pudgy domain users and expanded integrations within the Pudgy ecosystem.

Per the announcement, “with thousands of .pudgy domains minted in just three months, this integration’s popularity demonstrates strong community adoption and enthusiasm for this new approach to virtual world access.”

The teams explained that the .pudgy domains serve as unique identifiers. This also means that each user can utilize a domain to express their individuality.

However, with this latest integration, user can also represent their digital selves in the virtual world. Therefore, “personalization extends beyond being a username,” the partners stated.

Furthermore, a .pudgy domain is a passport to exclusive events, activities, and chats. This feature, they argue, improves user engagement and makes interactions “more meaningful.”
