Bitcoin Nears USD 20K, Ethereum Below USD 1.1K, WAVES Rallies, CEL Dumps

 

• Bitcoin price is struggling to settle above USD 21,200.
• Ethereum failed to stay above USD 1,100, XRP is consolidating near USD 0.32.
• WAVES is the best performer, while CEL is the worst.

Bitcoin price was able to recover above the USD 21,200 resistance zone but failed to stay in the positive zone and declined below USD 21,000. It is currently (04:04 UTC) trading above USD 20,300, with a risk of a downside break. BTC is down over 1% in a day and almost 9% in a week. 

Similarly, most major altcoins failed to stay in the positive zone. ETH struggled above USD 1,150 and declined below USD 1,100. XRP is still consolidating near USD 0.320. ADA trimmed gains and traded below USD 0.480.

Bitcoin price

After a steady increase, bitcoin price was able to move above the USD 21,200 resistance. BTC even cleared the USD 21,500 level, but there was no upside continuation. The bears took a stand and pushed the price back below USD 21,200. On the downside, an initial support is near the USD 20,000 level. The next major support is near the USD 19,500 zone, below which the price could start a stronger decline.

On the upside, the USD 21,000 zone is an initial hurdle. The key barrier is now near USD 21,200 and USD 21,500, above which the price could gain bullish momentum in the near term.

Ethereum price

Ethereum price also attempted an upside break above the USD 1,150 resistance zone. ETH spiked towards the USD 1,200 level, where the bears emerged. The price trimmed gains and traded below USD 1,100. On the downside, an immediate support is at USD 1,050. The next major support is near USD 1,000, below which the price could restart decline. ETH is down almost 4% in a day and 10% in a week.

On the upside, the price is facing resistance near the USD 1,150 level. The next major resistance is near USD 1,200, above which the price could start a stronger increase.

ADA, BNB, SOL, DOGE, and XRP price

Cardano (ADA) spiked above the USD 0.50 resistance. However, it failed to stay above USD 0.50 and declined below USD 0.48. The price is now consolidating above the USD 0.45 support.

BNB attempted a move towards the USD 230 resistance but struggled. The price is now trading below the USD 220 level, with a key support near the USD 212 level.

Solana (SOL) gained pace above the USD 35 resistance. It even cleared the USD 38 level and tested the USD 40 zone. The price is now consolidating gains near USD 35 and might continue lower.

DOGE rallied above the USD 0.0620 resistance. The price even surged above USD 0.065 before the bears appeared near USD 0.070. The price corrected gains and tested the USD 0.062 support.

XRP price is still consolidating near the USD 0.32 zone. To start a fresh increase, the price must clear the USD 0.335 and USD 0.350 resistance levels in the near term.

Other altcoins market today

A few altcoins are up over 5%, including SNX,UNI, LEO, XCN, ZIL, and SHIB. WAVES is the best performer among the top 100 cryptoassets today as it jumped 46%, surpassed USD 7, and increased its weekly gains to 43%. Meanwhile, after a strong rally this week, CEL dropped 16% in a day, went below USD 1, and trimmed its weekly gains to 42%.

Overall, bitcoin price struggled to stay above the USD 21,200 level. BTC must stay above the USD 20,000 support zone to avoid a fresh bearish wave.
