Bitcoin and Ethereum Consolidate, SOL Inches Higher

 

• Bitcoin price is consolidating below the USD 45,000 resistance.
• Ethereum is attempting a close above USD 3,000, XRP is still below USD 0.80.
• SOL is up 7% and was able to surpass USD 100.

Bitcoin price made another attempt to clear the USD 45,000 resistance. BTC failed to gain momentum and is currently (11:58 UTC) consolidating gains above USD 44,100. If there is a downside correction, the price might test USD 43,200.

Similarly, most major altcoins are stuck in a range. ETH is now attempting an important close above the USD 3,000 resistance. XRP is facing a strong resistance near the USD 0.80 zone. ADA is consolidating gains above USD 0.95.

Bitcoin price

After another rejection near USD 45,000, bitcoin price corrected below the USD 44,500 level. However, the bulls remained active near the USD 43,500 zone. The next key support is near the USD 43,200 level, below which the price may perhaps decline to USD 42,000. 

On the upside, the price is facing a key barrier near the USD 45,000 level. A close above the USD 45,000 resistance may perhaps start a steady increase towards the USD 46,200 level.

Ethereum price

Ethereum price remained well supported above the 2,880 support level and is now attempting a close above the USD 3,000 level. If the bulls succeed, the price might rise towards the USD 3,120 level. 

If not, the price could correct below the USD 2,950 support. The next key support is near the USD 2,880 zone, below which there is a risk of a move towards the USD 2,750 level.

ADA, BNB, SOL, DOGE, and XRP price

Cardano (ADA) spiked above the USD 1.00 resistance, but there was no upside continuation. It is now consolidating near the USD 0.95 pivot level. If there are more downsides, the price might test USD 0.92.

BNB rallied towards the USD 425 level before starting a downside correction. It is now stuck near the USD 412 level. The next major support is near USD 400, below which the price could decline to USD 388.

Solana (SOL) is up 7% and there was a brief move above the USD 105 resistance. The next key resistance is near the USD 112 level, above which the price might rise towards the USD 120 level.

DOGE trades near USD 0.135 and it still might attempt a move above the USD 0.142 resistance level. If the bulls fail, the price could decline towards USD 0.125. 

XRP price spiked above the USD 0.80 resistance zone before correcting lower. It is now trading above the USD 0.75 support. If there is a fresh increase, the bears may perhaps remain active near USD 0.78.

Other altcoins market today

Many altcoins are up over 5%, including SHIB, MATIC, NEAR, LINK, FTM, SAND, AXS, EGLD, ONE, WAVES, RUNE, CHZ, KDA, and CRV. Out of these, RUNE rallied 11% and tested the USD 5.40 level.

To sum up, bitcoin price is struggling to clear the USD 45,000 resistance. If BTC gains pace above USD 45,000, it could rise towards USD 46,200 or even USD 47,500.
