Francis Suarez, the mayor of Miami and a known crypto advocate, has filed paperwork signaling his intention to run for the United States presidency in 2024.

He will join the likes of former U.S. President Donald Trump and fellow Florida Governor Ron DeSantis — another Bitcoin (BTC) advocate — in vying to win the Republican presidential nomination.

Suarez officially filed the paperwork on June 14, according to documents released by the U.S. Federal Election Commission.

Suarez is scheduled to speak at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California on June 16, where he is expected to talk about his presidential plans in more depth.
