Blockchain Research Institute

The Blockchain Research Institute is a blockchain-focused think tank founded by Don and Alex Tapscott in 2017. It is headquartered in Toronto, Canada.
The Tapscotts are the co-authors of the 2016 book, Blockchain Revolution: How the Technology Behind Bitcoin is Changing Money, Business, and the World. They founded the institute in 2017 with the aim of further researching themes explored in the book. The institute’s projects span a variety of fields including education, energy, management, retail, technology and law.
The think tank is funded through memberships held by global corporations and governmental agencies including Accenture, Bell, Deloitte, Cisco and the Bank of Canada.
