EBay Taps OneOf for Debut Sports-Themed NFT Drop
The release marks the online marketplace giant's first foray into digital collectibles.
Popular e-commerce platform eBay (EBAY) has released its debut collection of non-fungible tokens (NFTs), a hockey-themed drop in partnership with Tezos- and Polygon-based NFT platform OneOf.
EBay officially announced its interest in digital collectibles earlier in May, though its CEO Jamie Iannone had teased the possibility of integrating the tech for months.
The prices of the NFTs range from $10 to $1,500, purchasable via the same fiat payment methods as the platform’s physical items. The first ones feature hockey legend Wayne Gretzky.
The collection expands on OneOf’s partnership with Sports Illustrated, which announced its own marketplace on the platform in February.
The move marks a continued push from traditional e-commerce platforms interested in blockchain. StockX, a sneaker shopping platform and eBay rival, launched its own NFT marketplace earlier this year.
EBay is the second-largest e-commerce platform in the U.S. behind Amazon (AMZN), with more than 140 million users.

KuCoin Hits Record Market Share as 2025 Volumes Outpace Crypto Market

KuCoin captured a record share of centralised exchange volume in 2025, with more than $1.25tn traded as its volumes grew faster than the wider crypto market.
What to know:
- KuCoin recorded over $1.25 trillion in total trading volume in 2025, equivalent to an average of roughly $114 billion per month, marking its strongest year on record.
- This performance translated into an all-time high share of centralised exchange volume, as KuCoin’s activity expanded faster than aggregate CEX volumes, which slowed during periods of lower market volatility.
- Spot and derivatives volumes were evenly split, each exceeding $500 billion for the year, signalling broad-based usage rather than reliance on a single product line.
- Altcoins accounted for the majority of trading activity, reinforcing KuCoin’s role as a primary liquidity venue beyond BTC and ETH at a time when majors saw more muted turnover.
- Even as overall crypto volumes softened mid-year, KuCoin maintained elevated baseline activity, indicating structurally higher user engagement rather than short-lived volume spikes.

GameStop's $420 million bitcoin move sparks speculation of selling

While blockchain data confirms the movement to Coinbase Prime, the transfer could also mean internal asset management or custody.
What to know:
- GameStop transferred its entire bitcoin holdings — about 4,710 BTC worth roughly $420 million — to Coinbase Prime this week, analytics firm CryptoQuant noted.
- The move has fueled speculation that GameStop might be preparing to exit its bitcoin position, which would likely lock in an estimated loss of around $84 million at current prices.
- While large transfers to Coinbase Prime often signal intent to sell, the platform also provides institutional custody services, and GameStop has not yet commented on the transaction or its intentions.
