Job Summary
What you'll be doing:
šConduct initial legal and regulatory research on issues affecting the business and prepare summaries or briefing memos to support the Legal Counsel's advice to stakeholders. šTrack and monitor developments in applicable laws and regulations, particularly those affecting the blockchain industry, and synthesize information for the legal team to inform strategic guidance. šManage and organize legal and regulatory documentation required for the launch of new products and services. šAssist the Legal Counsel with corporate governance matters by maintaining corporate records, filing documents, and preparing initial drafts of board resolutions or meeting materials. šReview and mark up commercial agreements for standard compliance, manage the document version control and signature process, and assist with the initial drafting of routine clauses. šPrepare and compile necessary forms, documentation, and correspondence for licence applications and communication with regulatory authorities. šOrganize and manage case files, coordinate document discovery, track key deadlines, and liaise with outside counsel in the process of managing legal disputes.
What we're looking for:
š3-4 years of relevant work experience as a corporate paralegal, preferably with a top-tier international law firm or a global in-house legal department. šRelevant financial services regulatory and corporate experience will be a plus. šA commercial mind that enables you to identify and distill a variety of legal issues (e.g., regulatory, contract, IP, privacy, consumer protection, risk) and clearly communicate practical risk-based solutions to the business and product teams.
