Job Summary
What you'll do:
📍Lead the monthly close process and prepare and analyze financial statements, including income. statements, balance sheets, and statements of cash flow. 📍Drive opportunities for process improvements and automation, optimize our accounting systems and tools, and lead the implementation of accounting best practices. 📍Ensure consistent implementation of accounting principles and procedures in compliance with US GAAP, staying up to date with FASB and SEC guidance, especially related to any digital asset policies. 📍Develop, implement and enforce financial controls and policies. Oversee payroll, accounts payable, expense reimbursements, and accounts receivable. 📍Own digital asset reporting and reconciliations. 📍Provide support to the management team in making informed financial decisions. 📍Work with our tax partners to prepare and file tax documents and returns. 📍Manage and mentor our Accounting Manager.
What you'll need:
📍Accounting department builder at heart. 📍10+ years experience with time spent at a Big 4 accounting firm. 📍2+ years of recent experience at a technology or crypto company in a management position. 📍Experience or familiarity with digital asset accounting is highly preferred. 📍Prior experience leading a financial audit in partnership with external auditors. 📍CPA license holder. 📍Experience with multi-entity operations. 📍Strong proficiency in accounting software, financial planning tools and microsoft excel. 📍Great communicator with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 📍Strong attention to detail and highly organized and tactical. 📍Ability to think strategically about department building and rolling out new processes. 📍Excited to roll up your sleeves and comfortable working in a fast-paced start-up environment, executing on multiple projects at any given time.
