Stratos is a decentralized data mechanism designed to provide scalable, self-balanced, and reliable storage, database, and computation network. The platform works toward building a solid foundation for data processing. The Stratos ecosystem utilizes the Proof-of-Traffic (PoT) algorithm for rewarding the network participants and contributors. In addition, the PBFT consensus mechanism enables the integration of PoT to provide the network users with settlement and related financial payment services in a fair, efficient, and transparent manner.

According to its whitepaper, Stratos functions as a decentralized data mesh for blockchain and introduces the next generation of decentralized computing services, a type of decentralized computing service capable of serving Dapp and allowing smart contract developers to use decentralized mechanism to deploy, execute, and store their data and code. Smart contracts are just like regular contracts; however, instead of being drafted on paper, these contracts run in the form of protocols on the blockchain.
