Bitgert (BRISE) is a cryptocurrency project that was launched in July 2021, focusing on blockchain products and centralized exchange. Initially, Bitgert was built on the BNB Chain and used BNB, its native token, to pay rewards. However, in 2022, Bitgert introduced the BRC20 blockchain, which has near-zero gas fees and high-speed cross-chain transactions. The BRISE token functions as an intermediary in a peer-to-peer (P2P) service for payments in local currency, using the BRISE Wallet dApp. This allows a seller and a buyer to cooperate directly with each other, without the need for intermediaries. Bitgert also has a buyback mechanism, where a 5% buyback tax is charged on each transaction and stored inside a smart contract.

Bitgert seeks to provide a range of use cases in the real world, including decentralization of transactional services. Its project comprises DeFi, NFTs, Web3.0, and Metaverse products. Bitgert's BRC20 blockchain seeks to address major problems in the current blockchain products, such as poor scaling, high transaction cost, and security. With the cheaper and faster BRC20 blockchain, Bitgert intends to launch Bitgert Paybrise, a product that enables merchants to accept BRISE payments. Bitgert also has a multi-currency crypto wallet that allows users to send, receive, store, and swap various crypto assets in a safe and secure manner.

Bitgert started its journey in the summer of 2021, with the platform launched in July. The development team initially worked anonymously, but they have announced intentions to reveal their identities when the time comes. No specific deadlines have been published for this reveal, but it is expected to positively affect the project’s reputation and the price of BRISE. Bitgert also intends to register as a legal entity in the short term, presumably in the Cayman Islands.
