FTR is the governance token of the FUTURE protocol. The FTR token is used to participate in the FTR protocol's products. Once the initial rollout of the FUTURE decentralized ecosystem is complete, FTR holders get the governance rights over decisions such as the contracts/products FUTURE issues, the use of development funds, and potential alliances.
