Derivatives are now live in the UK

Perpetuals and Futures across crypto, equities, commodities & FX are now available to UK customers who meet professional client criteria. Here's what they let you do, and how each contract type works.

For professional clients only. Eligibility criteria apply.

Perpetuals

Take a long or short position on an asset's price with no expiry date; your position stays open until you close it.

No expiry date

Perpetuals have no fixed expiration or settlement date. A position stays open until you choose to close it, or until it is liquidated.

Funding rate

A funding rate is exchanged periodically between long and short positions to keep the contract price anchored to spot. Depending on the side you hold, it is either a cost or a credit.

Separate margin portfolio

Perpetuals are traded from a dedicated margin portfolio funded separately in USDC. Positions may be closed automatically if margin requirements are not maintained.

170+ contracts, traded 24/7

Over 170 contracts across crypto, commodities, equities and FX, in $1 trade increments, open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Futures

Agree to buy or sell an asset at a set price on a fixed future date; the contract settles automatically at expiry.

Fixed expiry, automatic settlement

Each contract runs to a set date and settles automatically at expiry, with no action needed from you. You can also close the position at any point before then.

No funding rate

There is no periodic funding payment. Your cost of carry is priced into the contract at entry, which is why the futures price typically sits slightly above spot.

Unified collateral margin

Margin is drawn from your unified collateral balance rather than a separate portfolio. Positions may be closed automatically if margin requirements are not maintained.
