Stargate is a native asset bridge built on LayerZero that enables cross-chain liquidity transfers. Applications, such as decentralized exchanges (DEXs), can integrate Stargate to facilitate cross-chain transactions at the application level. STG holders can stake their tokens to receive veSTG, the unit of Stargate governance voting power. A user’s veSTG balance decays linearly as the remaining time until the staked or locked STG unlock decreases. One-sixth of non-STG transaction fees (1 bps) are also allocated to veSTG holders.

OP Mainnet was the first chain, with several others now operating on the OP Stack architecture, including Base (by Coinbase), Unichain (by Uniswap), Ink (by Kraken), and World Chain (by Worldcoin).
