The first tranch is supposed to cover costs incurred while developing protocols that have been completed, while the remaining tranches are each scheduled for delivery upon completion of a main net light wallet, compatibility work on assembly standard eWasm, and Phase 0 and Phase 1 of sharding.<\/p>\n<p>Supplying funding in a tranch-based structure is an absent feature of the crypto-markets, losing favor to lump-sum capital generated via ICOs. However, awarding grants on the completion of each individual project is a forward-thinking move on the foundation's part, ensuring rewards are evenly distributed while the team does not fall into the trap of a financial \u201ccomfort zone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Parity\u2019s products are a significant part of the blockchain ecosystem. The firm boasts of developing \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.parity.io\/ethereum\/\">Parity Ethereum<\/a>,\u2019 a client for running protocol nodes and full-nodes. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.parity.io\/substrate\/\">Substrate<\/a>, a tool for creating customizable blockchains, and <a href=\"https:\/\/polkadot.network\/\">Polkadot<\/a>, an inter-blockchain messaging and data transfer protocol.<\/p>\n<p>In a publicity move for Substrate last year, Parity founder <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/people\/gavin-wood\/\">Gavin Wood<\/a> demonstrated the creation of a blockchain in <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2018\/10\/23\/parity-founder-demos-substrate-live-launches-a-blockchain-in-minutes-instead-of-days-or-weeks\/\">15 minutes flat<\/a>, even tearing off a brand new laptop\u2019s bubble wrapping in the process to prove the protocol\u2019s speed.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Parity has not been shy of <a href=\"https:\/\/motherboard.vice.com\/en_us\/article\/d3djwj\/ethereum-wallet-parity-knew-about-critical-flaw-that-let-user-devops199-lock-up-millions\">controversy<\/a>.
