{"id":86358,"date":"2018-09-27T22:07:44","date_gmt":"2018-09-28T05:07:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/?p=86358"},"modified":"2019-11-25T04:25:08","modified_gmt":"2019-11-25T04:25:08","slug":"coinbase-lures-crypto-newcomers-with-new-products","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/coinbase-lures-crypto-newcomers-with-new-products\/","title":{"rendered":"Coinbase Lures Crypto-Newcomers with New Products"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/companies\/coinbase\/\">Coinbase<\/a> appears to be preparing to rise to meet a veritable flood of interest in cryptocurrency, having rolled out a series of products aiming to take the pain out of purchasing cryptocurrencies for the first time<\/p>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.coinbase.com\/helping-people-understand-explore-and-buy-cryptocurrency-60ce415a0265\">post<\/a> titled \u2018Helping People Understand, Explore and Buy Cryptocurrency\u2019, the San Francisco-based exchange debuted three new updates it explained would \u201csimplify every step of the journey\u201d to becoming a cryptocurrency owner.<\/p>\n<p>While Coinbase would appear to hear the rumblings of a ferocious appetite brewing, it explained that the newfangled technology can, for some, be too much to take in. They stated:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;We expect that millions of people will make their first cryptocurrency purchase in the coming years. But all too often, getting started can be overwhelming for people learning about crypto for the first time.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>Easy as Pie?<\/h2>\n<p>The products, Coinbase \u2018Bundle\u2019, \u2018Learn\u2019, and \u2018Asset Pages\u2019, seems to be pitched squarely at fully-fledged rookies, allowing them to purchase a basket of assets weighted by market capitalization \u201cwith just a few taps\u201d of the mouse, while educating themselves on their newfound digital companions and tracking their growth.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_85772\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-85772\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-85772\" src=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/0x-bat-coinbase-crypto-list-process-social-300x158.jpg\" alt=\"Coinbase Will Add New Cryptos With a New Process: No Listing Fee, Fully Compliant\" width=\"300\" height=\"158\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-85772\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Related: <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/coinbase-partners-with-caspian-for-institutional-grade-trade-execution\/\">Coinbase Will Add New Cryptos With a New Process: No Listing Fee, Fully Compliant<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>They do, however, recognize that question marks still hover over cryptocurrency for many.<\/p>\n<p>To fence-sitters, Coinbase would give a nudge over into crypto-land with gentle assurances, pushing the narratives of \u2018start small\u2019 and \u2018some is better than none\u2019 out to cautious prospects. Their new \u2018Learn\u2019 portal is pitched as such, an FAQ-style webpage \u201chelping anyone decide with confidence whether buying cryptocurrency is right for them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The description of their minimum $25 Bundle would seem equally palatable:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Buying a single cryptocurrency can be easy if you know what you want.
