According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2018-09-20\/brazil-s-biggest-brokerage-begrudgingly-joins-crypto-market\">Bloomberg<\/a>, the new crypto exchange dubbed XDEX will have around 40 employees.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">With a mission to \u201c<\/span><span class=\"s3\">to help Brazilians invest better, offering the ideal solutions for each investor\u201d, <\/span><span class=\"s1\">Grupo XP currently has 500,000 active customers and over 120 billion in the country's currency <em>reals<\/em> (~$30 billion) under custody. Grupo XP is reportedly planning to control 1 trillion reals (~$245 billion) by 2020 through its custodial services and is also planning to launch a bank in the near future.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Grupo XP currently offers access to equities, fixed-income products, investment funds, real estate funds, futures, and other financial products. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">While this news of the crypto exchange is very exciting, <\/span><span class=\"s2\">Guilherme Benchimol, the President <\/span><span class=\"s1\">of<\/span><span class=\"s2\">\u00a0XP Investimentos SA, has expressed sentiments indicating otherwise. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Benchimol recently said, <\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">\u201cI must confess, this is a theme I\u2019d rather didn\u2019t exist, but it does.
