What does it mean? ?<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/BIVhkpgCM2\">https:\/\/t.co\/BIVhkpgCM2<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Cory Johnson (@CoryTV) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CoryTV\/status\/1030093091410247680?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 16, 2018<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h2>Bittrex, Bitso and Coins.ph<\/h2>\n<p>According to Ripple, Bittrex will now act as the preferred digital asset exchange for xRapid transactions in the U.S. Bitso, meanwhile, will be the preferred exchange in Mexico and Coins.ph will be favored in the Philippines.<\/p>\n<p>Cory Johnson, chief market strategist at Ripple, said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cBittrex is one of the biggest names in digital asset trading in the U.S. The same goes for Bitso in Mexico and Coins.ph in the Philippines. That makes today\u2019s announcement an important development for xRapid.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In May, Ripple <a href=\"https:\/\/ripple.com\/insights\/first-pilot-results-for-xrapid\/\">announced<\/a> that its first xRapid pilot saved financial institutions between 40 and 70 percent compared to what they usually pay to foreign exchange brokers. In the first pilot, xRapid payments took approximately two minutes to process, compared to today's cross-border payment average of 48-72 hours.<\/p>\n<h2>xRapid Explained<\/h2>\n<p>Ripple Labs\u00a0currently offers three different products to clients\u2013xCurrent, xVia and xRapid.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ripple.com\/solutions\/process-payments\/\" rel=\"noopener\">xCurrent<\/a>\u00a0is Ripple's enterprise software that enables banks to settle cross-border payments instantly with end-to-end tracking. <a href=\"https:\/\/ripple.com\/solutions\/send-payments\/\" rel=\"noopener\">xVia<\/a>\u00a0was made for banks, payment providers and financial institutions\u00a0that want to send payments across various networks and use only one interface.<\/p>\n<p>Ripple's <a href=\"https:\/\/ripple.com\/solutions\/source-liquidity\/\" rel=\"noopener\">xRapid<\/a>, meanwhile, is geared toward payment providers and financial institutions\u00a0who seek to minimize their liquidity\u00a0costs while improving customer experience. When payments emerge into the market, they often require pre-funded local currency accounts around the world\u2013driving up liquidity costs.<\/p>\n<p>xRapid is powered by Ripple's <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/coins\/xrp\/\">XRP<\/a>.
