Keeping pace\u00a0with blockchain's surging popularity, Google joined with Digital Asset to bring users a developer toolkit for decentralized applications (dApps).<\/p>\n

Digital Asset Delivers Enterprise Blockchain Solutions<\/h2>\n

Announced<\/a> on July 23, 2018, New York-based startup Digital Asset partnered with Google to launch\u00a0a comprehensive, full-stack software developer kit (SDK) for building out dApps on the Google Cloud platform.<\/p>\n

Digital Asset provides distributed ledger solutions to users through its Digital Asset Modeling Language (DAML) platform-as-a-service (PaaS), which will be made available on the Google Cloud marketplace. Currently in private beta phase, the DAML SDK enables solution architects to build, test and deploy blockchain applications without the need to code the platform from scratch.<\/p>\n

In the official press release, CEO of Digital Asset and former CFO at JPMorgan Blythe Masters noted:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re partnering with Google Cloud to provide developers with a full stack solution so they can unleash the potential for web-paced innovation in blockchain. This will reduce the technical barriers to DLT application development by delivering our advanced distributed ledger platform and modeling language to Google Cloud.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

DAML simplifies the writing of smart contracts and bestows developers with “an end-to-end toolkit” for streamlined dApp development by hiding ledger details and treating agreements as native constructs.<\/p>\n

Google Embraces Blockchain<\/h2>\n

Despite a persisting cryptocurrency ad ban, Google appears to be embracing distributed ledger technology (DLT) and their variety of applications across multiple industries as data storage, value transfer and security solutiona.<\/p>\n

Head of Financial Services Platform at Google Cloud,\u00a0Leonard Law expressed enthusiasm for their partnership:<\/p>\n
