It\u2019s this sentiment that inspired Ethereum<\/a> co-founder, Vitalik Buterin, to boldly assert<\/a>,<\/p>\n \u201cI definitely personally hope centralized exchanges burn in hell as much as possible.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n His comments at the TechCrunch blockchain sessions<\/a> reflect an animosity towards crypto exchanges starved for good news.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n However, this week, crypto exchanges reinforced their presence. Huobi, one of the most popular crypto exchanges, announced a partnership extending to the U.S. and Australia.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Meanwhile, Binance, one of the most prolific global crypto exchanges, is poised for record-breaking profits even as crypto prices and trading volumes are depressed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Although Huobi isn\u2019t directly launching in the U.S., it forged a relationship with HBUS<\/a> to achieve a presence in the country. According to the company\u2019s post on Medium<\/a>, HBUS\u00a0 <\/span>is \u201cnot an \u2018arm,\u2019 \u2018subsidiary,' \u2018division,' or any type of \u2018affiliate\u2019 of Huobi.\u201d Instead, Huobi classifies HBUS as the \u201cexclusive US strategic partner of Huobi.\u201d<\/p>\n As HBUS CEO Frank Fu explained<\/a>,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWe work with Huobi in China as their U.S. partner. We are a separate company. We are independent.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n HBUS is headquartered in San Francisco, and the exchange will feature nine currencies including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Dash, Tether, and Civic.
