One of the most remarkable apps created is Poketoshi, a hivemind way of playing Pokemon games.<\/p>\n<p>In February of 2014, the ultimate social experiment began, allowing users to control the outcome of Pokemon video games through Twitch chat. Griefers tried to release beloved starter pokemon while\u00a0heroes tried to complete the Elite Four, the final battle of the game. Surprisingly\u00a0enough, several Pokemon games were completed in this fashion, with amusing events happening along the way.<\/p>\n<p>Some names of the original team include\u00a0AABBBBBBK the teams Charmander, and JLVWNNOOOO\u00a0a Rattata.<\/p>\n<p>Years after the genius of Twitch Plays Pokemon, developer\u00a0<a class=\"ProfileHeaderCard-nameLink u-textInheritColor js-nav\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/joaodealmeida94\">Jo\u00e3o Almeida<\/a>\u00a0created his own version allowing users to control the player in Pokemon through Lightning Network payments. While paying 10 Satoshis per move is not the most practical or fun way to play Pokemon, it shows the significant potential for applications the Lightning Network creates.<\/p>\n<h2>More Lightning Apps<\/h2>\n<p>Other examples of Lightning Networks use case are <a href=\"https:\/\/blockchain.poker\/\">Blockchain Poker<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/satoshis.place\/\">Satoshis Place<\/a>. On Blockchain Poker, users can play Texas Hold'em after buying in with Satoshis.
