The Bitcoin Fed minutes could clarify whether that pressure reached beyond the three dissenters.<\/p>\n<p>The Fed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.federalreserve.gov\/newsevents\/pressreleases\/monetary20260729a.htm\">held its target range at 3.5% to 3.75%<\/a> on July 29 by a 9-3 vote. Beth Hammack, Neel Kashkari, and Lorie Logan wanted a quarter-point increase. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.federalreserve.gov\/monetarypolicy\/fomcminutes20260617.htm\">June minutes<\/a> had already shown that a few participants saw a case for raising rates, several did not view policy as restrictive, and most favored removing the statement's easing bias. A generic reference to \u201cseveral\u201d participants would not prove that support exceeded the three dissenters, and aggregate labels cannot be assigned to named voters unless the minutes do so.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/exec-d6fad16d-80c9-446e-961f-3fe55c32b8c4.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-556180\" src=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/exec-d6fad16d-80c9-446e-961f-3fe55c32b8c4.png\" alt=\"Bitcoin Fed minutes diagram showing the July 29 FOMC vote: nine votes to hold rates and three to hike, plus the Aug. 19 2 p.m. ET release and three conditions for a hawkish shock.\" width=\"720\" height=\"899\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That distinction matters because the minutes cover a group wider than the formal vote. All Reserve Bank presidents participate in FOMC discussions, while only 12 committee members vote. The document can therefore show broader hawkish sentiment without establishing that additional voters were ready to raise rates.<\/p>\n<p>For Bitcoin, the stronger signal from the Bitcoin Fed minutes would be whether Treasury yields rise as traders price a higher-for-longer path. The official Aug. 18 curve put the <a href=\"https:\/\/home.treasury.gov\/resource-center\/data-chart-center\/interest-rates\/TextView?field_tdr_date_value=2026&type=daily_treasury_yield_curve\">two-year yield at 4.19% and the 10-year at 4.71%<\/a>, while Bitcoin traded near $64,400 on Coinbase at 9:51 p.m. ET Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Limited positioning readings did not establish a marketwide cushion. At 9:52 p.m. ET Tuesday, an OKX snapshot showed positive BTC perpetual funding and roughly 32,900 BTC of open interest, both single-venue measures. At the same time, the <a href=\"https:\/\/farside.co.uk\/btc\/\">Aug. 18 spot Bitcoin ETF flow row<\/a> showed $45.7 million with no IBIT value, making the all-fund total provisional.<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"cs-article-embed\">\n    <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/bitcoin-etf-inflows-return-but-2-3-billion-stablecoin-liquidity-drain-leaves-57000-exposed\/\" class=\"cs-article-embed__link\">\n        <div class=\"cs-article-embed__body\">\n            <span class=\"cs-article-embed__related-reading\">Related Reading<\/span>\n            <h3 class=\"cs-article-embed__title\">Bitcoin ETF inflows return, but $2.3 billion stablecoin liquidity drain leaves $57,000 exposed<\/h3>\n        <\/div>\n        <span class=\"cs-article-embed__arrow\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n            <i class=\"fa-light fa-arrow-up-right\"><\/i>\n        <\/span>\n    <\/a>\n<\/div>\n\n<p>The first reaction to the Bitcoin Fed minutes is therefore a four-part watch: whether the minutes show clearly broader support for a hike, whether short- and long-dated Treasury yields rise, whether funding and open interest change sharply, and whether the completed ETF row confirms a demand cushion.
