Analytics firm Glassnode reports that exchange balances have dropped to their lowest level since\u202f2019, with\u202fover\u202f45,000\u202fBTC\u202f($4.8\u202fbillion) withdrawn in October alone. When coins leave exchanges, they typically move into cold\u202fstorage, signaling long\u2011term conviction rather than short\u2011term speculation. It\u2019s not traders chasing profits; it\u2019s investors accumulating quietly, positioning for endurance.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Bitcoin\u2019s mining backbone looks stronger than ever. According to JPMorgan data, the network\u2019s hashrate hovers near\u202f1,030\u202fexahashes\u202fper\u202fsecond, a record level. That represents confidence at scale. Miners don\u2019t double down on expensive hardware unless they expect long\u2011term returns. The Bitcoin network has never been more secure, or more costly to attack.<\/p>\n

Fiat fatigue<\/h2>\n

Beyond crypto, fiat currencies are losing credibility fast. As The Kobeissi Letter pointed out<\/a> on gold and silver\u2019s record highs:<\/p>\n

Major hedge\u202ffunds like Tudor\u202fInvestment, Millennium, and\u202fD.E.\u202fShaw\u202fhave joined public pension\u202ffunds such as the Wisconsin\u202fInvestment\u202fBoard in adding Bitcoin exposure. Bitcoin is no longer a rebellious niche holding; it\u2019s a recognized macro asset class, liquid, auditable, and sovereign\u2011resilient.<\/p>\n

Hyperbitcoinization or just another cycle?<\/h2>\n

Skeptics argue that \u201chyperbitcoinization\u201d (the point where Bitcoin becomes the world\u2019s de\u202ffacto settlement layer) has been predicted too many times to still mean something. But Tapiero\u2019s question cuts deeper: What if it starts not through public adoption, but through institutional debasement?<\/p>\n

Each metric tells part of the story: record hashrate, dwindling exchange supply, surging institutional inflows, and collapsing trust in fiat. Individually, they look like market noise.
