{"id":488730,"date":"2025-07-09T14:30:32","date_gmt":"2025-07-09T13:30:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/?p=488730"},"modified":"2025-07-09T13:52:00","modified_gmt":"2025-07-09T12:52:00","slug":"crypto-com-signs-major-deals-in-dubai-to-enable-crypto-payments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/crypto-com-signs-major-deals-in-dubai-to-enable-crypto-payments\/","title":{"rendered":"Crypto.com signs major deals in Dubai to enable crypto payments"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/companies\/crypto-com\/\">Crypto.com<\/a> has significantly expanded its presence in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), striking multiple high-impact partnerships across aviation, real estate, and public sector services.<\/p>\n<p>During the last three months, the crypto exchange has partnered with leading institutions, including Emirates Airlines, the Dubai Land Department, and the Dubai Department of Finance, positioning itself at the center of the UAE's digital transformation.<\/p>\n<h2>Emirates embraces crypto payments<\/h2>\n<p>On July 9, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/HHAhmedBinSaeed\/status\/1942874835073335302\">announced<\/a> a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Emirates Airlines, Crypto.com, and the Dubai Duty Free center.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement aims to explore advanced digital payment solutions for travelers using cryptocurrencies.<\/p>\n<p>Sheikh Al Maktoum noted that the deal reflects a shared ambition to modernize the travel and commerce experience across Dubai's infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>By integrating crypto payments across touchpoints, from ticket booking to in-airport purchases, the partnership supports Dubai's D33 Agenda, which seeks to enhance the city's position as a hub for innovation and the smart economy.<\/p>\n<p>The Dubai Duty Free Center <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/DubaiDutyFree\/status\/1942904177606201615\">stated<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;We\u2019re taking a bold step into the future of travel retail &#8211; bringing more convenience, security, and innovation to your airport shopping experience. With this new planned payment option, travellers will soon be able to pay using leading digital currencies, making their journey even more seamless and modern.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>Crypto.com's deals with Dubai's government and real estate sector<\/h2>\n<p>Just days before the Emirates deal, the <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/companies\/crypto-com\/\">Dubai Land Department<\/a> inked a separate partnership with Crypto.com on July 6 to build a blockchain-based investment infrastructure for virtual real estate.<\/p>\n<p>The goal is to support Dubai's Real Estate Strategy 2033 by enabling property tokenization, investor verification, and crypto transactions.<\/p>\n<p>Crypto.com will provide technology and advisory services, while the Land Department will handle compliance and pilot implementation.<\/p>\n<p>In May, the Dubai Department of Finance (DOF) <a href=\"https:\/\/crypto.com\/en\/company-news\/government-of-dubai-to-allow-cryptocurrency-payments-for-fees\">signed<\/a> its own MoU with Crypto.com in a parallel effort to modernize public services.
