The new filing deadlines for both are August 11 and October 10.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The SEC also delayed action on <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/companies\/blackrock\/\">BlackRock's<\/a> request to enable in-kind redemptions for its approved spot Bitcoin (<a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/coins\/bitcoin\/\">BTC<\/a>) ETF. BlackRock's request has no updated deadline, which centers on technical mechanics rather than initial approval.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Separately, the SEC acknowledged the 19b-4 filing for a 21Shares spot Dogecoin (<a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/coins\/dogecoin\/\">DOGE<\/a>) ETF, initiating the official review timeline for the product. This filing begins the countdown toward an eventual decision under the agency's statutory schedule.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Decisions expected later this year<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The agency's latest moves follow a broader pattern of staggered reviews across more than 70 crypto ETF proposals, which remain in various evaluation stages. On April 29, the SEC delayed decisions on five other crypto-related ETFs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bloomberg ETF analysts <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/people\/james-seyffart\/\">James Seyffart<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/people\/eric-balchunas\/\">Eric Balchunas<\/a> described the current cycle of delays as routine.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Seyffart said the delay was &#8220;expected,&#8221; and most of <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the affected products face final deadlines no earlier than October.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Balchunas added that the SEC is unlikely to issue substantive approvals until recently confirmed Chair <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/people\/paul-atkins\/\">Paul Atkins<\/a> completes internal meetings and strategy sessions with staff.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He said:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>&#8220;They've been taking outside meetings with people. Probably coming up with a strategy.
