They're listening. They're thinking hard about how to adapt. It's a teachable moment for them.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He also shared that EF leadership demonstrates a greater openness to external ideas, moving away from a &#8220;not invented here&#8221; mentality.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Community criticism<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Ethereum (<a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/coins\/ethereum\/\">ETH<\/a>) community has expressed concerns over the foundation\u2019s direction, particularly given ETH\u2019s underperformance relative to other major cryptos in 2024.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Notably, the performance of ETH against Bitcoin (<a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/coins\/bitcoin\/\">BTC<\/a>)<\/span> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/br.tradingview.com\/chart\/oSpIfPbp\/?symbol=BINANCE%3AETHBTC\">reached an all-time low<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on Binance on March 13, with 1 ETH representing 0.02240 BTC.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The lackluster performance occurs even as Ethereum displays positive developments, such as boasting over $3.2 billion in tokenized US Treasuries per rwa.xyz<\/span> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/app.rwa.xyz\/treasuries\">data<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. This represents nearly 70% of the market.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Market participants have questioned the foundation\u2019s treasury management, highlighting the impact of ETH sales on price stability.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a result, EF started changing its structure. On Feb. 25, Aya Miyaguchi<\/span> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/ethereum-foundations-aya-miyaguchi-steps-into-new-leadership-role-amid-governance-shift\/\">stepped down<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> as executive director and transitioned to president. The foundation has yet to appoint a successor, and co-founder <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/people\/vitalik-buterin\/\">Vitalik Buterin<\/a> has mentioned plans for a revised leadership structure without providing specific details.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On Feb. 28, the EF announced the \u201cSilviculture Society,\u201d an \u201cinformal counsel\u201d of outsiders, to create channels for community feedback and influence Ethereum\u2019s path.
