Tokenization involves creating a digital representation of a real-world asset on the blockchain.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/companies\/tether\/\">Tether<\/a> CEO\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/people\/paolo-ardoino\/\">Paolo Ardoino<\/a> stated:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>&#8220;By leveraging all Tether's technology \u2013 which today has already secured 125 billion dollars \u2013 we\u2019re making asset tokenization easier, secure, and scalable. Our goal is to create new opportunities for businesses and governments, while also making the digital asset space more accessible and transparent.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He also said that while the traditional finance ecosystem creates closed ecosystems, Hadron aims to build an inclusive future.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Range of products<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to the announcement, Hadron will not focus on creating fiat-backed stablecoins. The new platform will allow issuers complete control over token life cycles, such as issuance and burn mechanisms, which let clients tokenize art, equities, and loyalty points.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Additionally, among the offerings are compliance tools, such as Know-Your-Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know-Your-Transaction, Risk Management, and secondary market ecosystem monitoring over blockchains and centralized exchanges.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to the announcement, Hadron will be available on &#8220;multiple smart-contract-enabled blockchains,\u201d including Bitcoin layer-2 solutions, such as Blockstream's Liquid.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hadron is Tether's latest move in its plan to expand its offering to different segments of the financial industry. The firm's traditional finance segment, Tether Trade Finance, recently used its Tether USD (<a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/coins\/tether\/\">USDT<\/a>) stablecoin to fund<\/span> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/tethers-trade-finance-division-funds-first-oil-deal-via-usdt\/\">a 670,000 barrels-oil deal<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the Middle East, valued at $45 million.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Notably, this new division is Tether's effort to leverage its<\/span> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/tether-hits-7-7-billion-in-profit-ytd-as-reserves-reach-record-high\/\">$7.7 billion in profits<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> registered until the end of the third quarter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The company also recently announced<\/span> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Tether_to\/status\/1856019304031846811\">a wallet development kit<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to create Bitcoin (<a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/coins\/bitcoin\/\">BTC<\/a>) and USDT wallets aimed at developers and artificial intelligence agents.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tether launched a new tokenization platform called Hadron, which aims to service institutions, corporations, fund managers, and governments, according to a Nov. 14 press release.
