It is owned by someone involved in Bitcoin since 2009. He supports <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/BCH?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#BCH<\/a>, is well known in the Bitcoin ecosystem, but doesn&#39;t want to deal with incessant trolling so he has chosen not to make his identity public.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Roger Ver (@rogerkver) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/rogerkver\/status\/983379544387153920?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 9, 2018<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"jsEYaA\">Another idea is that Twitter suspended the @Bitcoin account because of Twitter itself.<\/h3>\n<p>A deeper conspiracy theory says that Twitter suspended the account because of CEO <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/people\/jack-dorsey\/\">Jack Dorsey\u2019s<\/a> support for Bitcoin Core and <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2018\/03\/15\/lightning-labs-just-raised-millions-from-jack-dorsey-and-others-to-supercharge-blockchain-transactions\/\">$2.5 million investment<\/a> in Lightning Labs, a startup building technology for Bitcoin Core.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">In any case, I&#39;d love to hear a public explanation from @twittersupport about why <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/bitcoin?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#bitcoin<\/a> competitor <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/LightningNetwork?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#LightningNetwork<\/a> investor <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jack?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@jack<\/a> disabled this account, gave it to someone else, only to return it in the face of public backlash with 750,000 fewer followers. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/censorship?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#censorship<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Bitcoin (@Bitcoin) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Bitcoin\/status\/983435784903712768?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 9, 2018<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Conspiracy theories and other stupidity aside, what we know for sure is that the @Bitcoin account went on a bit of adventure &#8211; with a few amusing turns of events.<\/p>\n<p>But first, here's a summary of what happened, courtesy of the @Bitcoin account itself.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">It does appear that Twitter is slowly reinstating some of the followers.
