The majority of politicians listed as &#8216;anti-crypto' on the Stand with Crypto website are over the age of 70, including Elizabeth Warren (75.)<\/p>\n<p>Further, while more Republicans have a pro-crypto stance than Democrats, only 41 US politicians are firmly against crypto as the <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/us-senate-candidate-john-deaton-demands-sec-gary-genslers-resignation-over-political-bias\/\">strong advocate<\/a> for the crypto industry. He <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crypto-law.us\/about-us\/\">launched<\/a> the CryptoLaw platform in 2021 to provide information and analysis on legal and regulatory developments affecting digital assets in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>The candidate has made several pro-crypto statements, arguing that blockchain technology offers transparency and traceability that could benefit law enforcement. &#8220;The NSA, the FBI, the CIA, have all come out and said they hope that criminals use Bitcoin. It's an open, distributed ledger. You can trace every single transaction,&#8221; Deaton stated in an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.standwithcrypto.org\/politicians\/person\/john--deaton\">interview<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In contrast, Senator Warren has taken a more <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/senator-elizabeth-warren-claims-foreign-cryptomines-being-used-to-spy-on-the-us\/\">critical stance<\/a> on cryptocurrencies. At a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing, Warren highlighted national security concerns related to crypto, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.warren.senate.gov\/newsroom\/press-releases\/at-hearing-warren-calls-for-applying-strong-anti-money-laundering-protections-to-cryptocurrency-to-shut-down-financing-for-us-adversaries-and-terrorist-groups\">stating<\/a>, &#8220;Anything Congress does to legitimize and grow the crypto market must have strong protections so we do not increase money-making opportunities for Iran and other adversaries.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Stand with Crypto PAC's support for Deaton aligns with its mission to back pro-crypto candidates across the political spectrum. The organization has endorsed several other candidates for the 2024 elections, including both Republicans and Democrats.<\/p>\n<p>Warren's anti-crypto agenda and her promise to rally an &#8220;anti-crypto army&#8221; and propose bills to control cryptocurrencies have made her a focal point for those supporting more favorable regulations for the industry.<\/p>\n<p>Deaton has been vocal about what he perceives as regulatory overreach in the crypto space.
