This is in <a href=\"https:\/\/grayscale.com\/products\/\">tandem<\/a> with Grayscale's website, which shows that the total assets under its BTC trust are $16.009 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Arkham revealed that the funds are distributed among more than 1,750 addresses, each holding 1,000 BTC or less. The wallets were identified despite Grayscale's decision to keep the trust's on-chain addresses confidential.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, Grayscale faced heavy <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/op-ed-could-dcg-be-the-catalyst-for-max-pain-in-the-crypto-markets\/\">speculations<\/a> about its Bitcoin balance after the collapse of FTX. At the time, the crypto investment funds cited \u201csecurity concerns\u201d as why it decided not to publish on-chain addresses associated with it. Nonetheless, its custodial partner, Coinbase, later released a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/greyscale-holds-635k-btc-as-coinbase-custody-reveals-holdings\/\">report<\/a>\u00a0detailing the assets it held on behalf of the investment firm.<\/p>\n<p>Arkham's disclosure positions it as the pioneering firm in identifying the specific addresses associated with the GBTC fund.<\/p>\n<p>Arkham previously identified Grayscale's \u00a0Ethereum Trust as the <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/greyscale-holds-635k-btc-as-coinbase-custody-reveals-holdings\/\">second-largest Ethereum<\/a> (ETH) holder, with addresses associated with the fund holding around $5 billion worth of ETH. The firm had also identified Robinhood as the holder of the <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/robinhood-has-over-3b-in-bitcoin-ranks-alongside-binance-and-bitfinexs-biggest-wallets\/\">third-largest Bitcoin wallet<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/robinhood-owns-the-fifth-largest-ethereum-wallet-holding-2-54b-of-eth\/\">fifth-largest Ethereum wallet<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>GBTC discount under 20%<\/h2>\n<p>GBTC's discount has remained under 20% despite the bearish sentiments that have kept BTC under $26,000 for most of the current month, according to Ycharts <a href=\"https:\/\/ycharts.com\/companies\/GBTC\/discount_or_premium_to_nav\">data<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The discount had rapidly <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/grayscale-triumph-against-sec-sparks-90m-market-liquidations-slims-gbtc-discount\/\">dropped<\/a> to its lowest level within the last two years after Grayscale secured a victory over the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in August.
