{"id":346329,"date":"2023-07-31T16:45:31","date_gmt":"2023-07-31T15:45:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/?p=346329"},"modified":"2023-07-31T13:24:18","modified_gmt":"2023-07-31T12:24:18","slug":"tron-ecosystem-grows-amid-increasing-defi-activity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/tron-ecosystem-grows-amid-increasing-defi-activity\/","title":{"rendered":"TRON ecosystem grows amid increasing DeFi activity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The TRON (<a href=\"\/coins\/tron\">TRX<\/a>) network exhibited considerable growth in Q2 in daily active accounts, new accounts, and transactions, as metrics increased by 14%, 13.4%, and 28.9%, respectively, according to a recent <a href=\"https:\/\/messari.io\/report\/state-of-tron-q2-2023\">report<\/a> by Messari.<\/p>\n<h2>Tron Q2 Growth.<\/h2>\n<p>This growth coincided with the launch of <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/trons-trx-now-live-on-ethereum-via-bittorrent-bridge-boosting-defi-access\/\">BitTorrent<\/a> Bridge and Stake 2.0, among other developments, showing promising expansion of the network's capabilities and user engagement.<\/p>\n<p>Messari's report notes that the surge in network activity boosted revenue by 11.6% quarter-over-quarter in TRX terms, translating to a 22.2% increase when measured in USD.<\/p>\n<p>Interestingly, the revenue growth led to a significant amount of TRX being burned, supporting the token's value in an otherwise flat-to-down market. However, USDT still dominates with 92% of the stablecoin value.<\/p>\n<p>However, the TRON network faced challenges during the quarter, particularly in the regulatory landscape. The SEC lodged complaints against <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/binance-vs-coinbase-analyzing-asset-withdrawals-in-the-wake-of-sec-lawsuits\/\">several exchanges<\/a> for engaging in unregistered sales of crypto asset securities, and TRON's TRX was among those implicated. This regulatory scrutiny created downward pressure on the value of TRX.<\/p>\n<p>Messari's <a href=\"https:\/\/messari.io\/report\/state-of-tron-q2-2023\">report<\/a> notes that TRON's future plans align with its ongoing strategies. The ecosystem's roadmap indicates that three key integrations, Apollo, Star Trek, and Eternity, are on the horizon.
