{"id":331064,"date":"2023-06-05T12:01:17","date_gmt":"2023-06-05T11:01:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/?p=331064"},"modified":"2023-06-05T12:01:17","modified_gmt":"2023-06-05T11:01:17","slug":"voting-for-terra-luna-classic-v2-1-0-upgrade-opens-soon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/voting-for-terra-luna-classic-v2-1-0-upgrade-opens-soon\/","title":{"rendered":"Voting for Terra Luna Classic v2.1.0 upgrade opens soon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Terra Luna Classic community will vote on the v2.1.0 upgrade proposal on June 7.<\/p>\n<p>If the proposal is approved, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/luncburnarmy\/status\/1664824269216309248?t=N2cj6EJEttUn7woi1MqVAw&s=19\">LuncBurnArmy<\/a> stated that the upgrade would go live on June 14.<\/p>\n<h2>Terra Classic upgrade v2.1.0<\/h2>\n<p>The v2.1.0 upgrade <a href=\"https:\/\/commonwealth.im\/terra-classic\/discussion\/11574-l1-task-force-v210-upgrade-proposal\">proposal<\/a> includes a 5% validator commission to attract more validators, Cosmwasm v1.1.x, and the implementation of protocol security updates, including patching the infinite fee grant bug.<\/p>\n<p>Cosmwasm refers to a modular Cosmos-based platform that simplifies developing smart contracts\u2014the <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/CosmWasm\/cosmwasm\">Cosmwasm GitHub<\/a> details example smart contracts, including those geared toward DeFi or token usage.<\/p>\n<p>The protocol includes a template repository, enabling developers to pick one for configuration, thus eliminating the need to build smart contracts from scratch.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;This will give you a simple contract along with tests, and a properly configured build environment. From there you can edit the code to add your desired logic and publish it as an independent repo.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Cosmwasm will also enable multi-chain smart contract functionality if the proposal is approved.<\/p>\n<h2>LUNC price performance<\/h2>\n<p>Although the proposal was first issued on June 3, the price of Terra Classic did not respond until June 4 &#8211; recording a 36% increase from its daily opening of $0.00008459.<\/p>\n<p>The move peaked at $0.00011508, which is a level that has recently proven significant support and resistance.
