A research analyst at 21Co, Tom Wan, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/tomwanhh\/status\/1657995466993446913?s=20\">corroborated<\/a> the Arkham report.<\/p>\n<p>According to Wan, Celsius deposited over 40,000 Ethereum through Figment between May 10 and May 12.<\/p>\n<p>The reason behind this deposit is currently unknown, considering Celsius <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/lookonchain\/status\/1646712637424807937?s=20\">withdrew<\/a> part of its staked ETH in April. At the time, industry players interpreted this as a move that the bankrupt firm was consolidating its assets.<\/p>\n<p>Celsius remains one of the biggest firms with a staked ETH portfolio.\u00a0According to the Arkham Intelligence\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/platform.arkhamintelligence.com\/explorer\/entity\/celsius-network\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">dashboard<\/a>, the lender holds 410,378 staked ETH worth $749.37 million.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Celsius transactions are not altogether surprising given that several entities that withdrew their staked ETH have begun re-staking them. Liquid staking derivatives protocol Lido has led the charts in staked ETH withdrawals and deposits over the past few weeks, according to Nansen's dashboard.<\/p>\n<h2>Total ETH staking deposits soar above withdrawals.<\/h2>\n<p>The total number of staked ETH reached a new all-time high of 21.62 million worth $39.5 billion \u2014 as staking deposits have surpassed withdrawals \u2014 according to Etherscan <a href=\"https:\/\/etherscan.io\/address\/0x00000000219ab540356cbb839cbe05303d7705fa\">data.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Since withdrawals were enabled on April 12, the total number of ETH withdrawn stands at 2.67 million, while ETH deposited is at 3.46 million. According to its <a href=\"https:\/\/query.nansen.ai\/public\/dashboards\/Hk93n66vsO0uvycfui8ypF2xcpNhpraxfwX5AWZJ?utm_campaign=shanghaiupgrade_12apr23&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter\">dashboard<\/a>, several crypto entities like Kraken and other centralized exchanges led the initial <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/kraken-withdraws-330k-eth-amid-regulatory-pressure-deposits-outpace-withdrawals-in-staking-race\/\">wave of withdrawals<\/a> in compliance with the regulatory pressure they faced from U.S. financial regulators.<\/p>\n<p>However, as these entities' withdrawals began to subside, liquid staking protocols like Frax Ether and Rocket Pool have seen the total value of assets locked on their platforms <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/liquid-staking-protocols-tvl-could-flip-dexs-tvl-soon\/\">increase<\/a> by double digits within the past month, according to DeFillama <a href=\"https:\/\/defillama.com\/categories\">data<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bankrupt crypto lender Celsius has resumed staking Ethereum (ETH), according to data shared by Arkham Intelligence.
