Three whale accounts decided to sell over 22 million ARB, while nine others collectively bought over 12 million tokens.<\/p>\n<h2>The transactions<\/h2>\n<p>The amount of ARB held by the whales equates to over $1.6 million, given that the ARB price lingers around $1.62 at the time of writing.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_318311\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-318311\" style=\"width: 643px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-318311\" src=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/ARBUSDT_2023-04-18_00-31-58.png\" alt=\"ARB to USDT (Source: CryptoSlate)\" width=\"643\" height=\"543\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/ARBUSDT_2023-04-18_00-31-58.png 916w, https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/ARBUSDT_2023-04-18_00-31-58-300x253.png 300w, https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/ARBUSDT_2023-04-18_00-31-58-768x648.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 643px) 100vw, 643px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-318311\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">ARB to USDT (Source: CryptoSlate)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>During the past seven days, three whale accounts sold around 22.8 million ARB tokens, amounting to about $38 million. The sale prices were $1.37 and $1.69.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, nine whale wallets bought 12.4 million ARB, which adds up to over $21 million. Most of this amount was purchased when the ARB price had been lingering between $1.2 and\u00a0 $1.5. In the meantime, 11 whales didn't sell or buy ARB tokens.<\/p>\n<h2>Arbitrum<\/h2>\n<p>Arbitrum recently <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/over-1m-arbitrum-tokens-lost-to-phishing-attack\/\">lost<\/a> over 1 million tokens to a phishing attack on March 31. Days after that, the project team said it had to <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/arbitrum-foundation-said-it-sold-10m-arb-tokens-to-fund-operating-cost\/\">sell<\/a> 10 million ARB to cover its operation costs.<\/p>\n<p>Even though Arbitrum managed to create some <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/arbitrum-network-activity-booms-ahead-of-airdrop\/\">hype<\/a> around the project by <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/arbitrum-to-airdrop-112-8m-arb-tokens-to-daos-on-its-ecosystem\/\">airdropping<\/a> 112.8 million ARB in mid-march, the price of ARB also recorded a 90% <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/over-300m-arbitrum-arb-tokens-claimed-price-plunges-90\/\">drop<\/a> due to over 160,000 addresses claiming over 300 million ARB tokens.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As of the end of April 10 &#8211; 17 week, there are 23 whale wallets that hold over $1 million Arbitrum (ARB) tokens, according to data shared by on-chain sleuth @lookonchain.
