He compared the latter to a digital financial ringfence, which he labeled the &#8220;Great Dollarwall&#8221; \u2014 a nod to China's Great Firewall that restricts access to certain websites considered inappropriate by the governing Chinese Communist Party.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;<span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">Fed is launching their CBDC in July. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">You have about 90 days to exit. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">After that, you\u2019re trapped.&#8221;<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>Fed around and find out<\/h2>\n<p>Recent events \u2014 including the collapse and seizure of three American banks \u2014 have drawn attention to the fragility of the banking system. This unease was further amplified over the weekend as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/news\/business\/ubs-takeover-credit-suisse-b2304918.html\">Credit Suisse<\/a> revealed a &#8220;material weakness.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>During a recent live stream, Input Output CEO <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/banking-crisis-hoskinson-blames-money-printing-fractional-reserve-banking-not-crypto\/\">Charles Hoskinson<\/a> summarized the current state of the banking system, stating that its failure is inevitable. Hoskinson pointed out the unsustainability of Ponzinomics, which involves creating money out of thin air and relying on monetary expansion to sustain the Ponzi scheme.<\/p>\n<p>On March 15, the <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/federal-reserve-says-fednow-will-go-live-in-july\/\">Fed<\/a> said its FedNow payment network would launch in July. This network will offer settlement services, allowing participating organizations to make instant payments to one another.<\/p>\n<div class=\"relative flex w-[calc(100%-50px)] flex-col gap-1 md:gap-3 lg:w-[calc(100%-115px)]\">\n<div class=\"flex flex-grow flex-col gap-3\">\n<div class=\"min-h-[20px] flex flex-col items-start gap-4 whitespace-pre-wrap\">\n<div class=\"markdown prose w-full break-words dark:prose-invert light\">\n<p>It is worth noting that FedNow is not a CBDC system. Nonetheless, some individuals suggest it could be a complement or precursor to a CBDC, should such a thing become a reality.<\/p>\n<div class=\"flex flex-grow flex-col gap-3\">\n<div class=\"min-h-[20px] flex flex-col items-start gap-4 whitespace-pre-wrap\">\n<div class=\"markdown prose w-full break-words dark:prose-invert light\">\n<p>Connecting the two issues, Srinivasan launched into a lengthy tirade, criticizing the U.S. government's history of dishonesty. For those who remain skeptical of his assertions, Srinivasan challenged them to &#8220;fed around and find out.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Bitcoin to the rescue?<\/h2>\n<p>CBDC critics voice concerns over the centralization of power and their potential to force behavioral compliance. Srinivasan echoed these concerns saying:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">&#8220;Just imagine wage, price, and capital controls down to the individual level for those still trapped in the dollar system.<\/span>&#8220;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Under such a system, he warned it's &#8220;game over&#8221; for personal sovereignty and those who oppose and call out political shenanigans.
