Other executives like former FTX director Nishad Singh, FTX co-founder Gary Wang, former Alameda Research CEO Caroline Ellison, former Alameda Research co-CEO John Samuel Trabucco and Ryan Salame cumulatively received $1 billion.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_309539\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-309539\" style=\"width: 558px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-309539 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Screenshot-2023-03-16-085612.jpg\" alt=\"FTX $3.2 billion payment\" width=\"558\" height=\"330\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Screenshot-2023-03-16-085612.jpg 558w, https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Screenshot-2023-03-16-085612-300x177.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 558px) 100vw, 558px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-309539\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">A breakdown of the $3.2 billion payments (Source: FTX)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The management noted that these payments excluded the over\u00a0<span class=\"xn-money\">$240 million<\/span> the former executives spent on purchasing luxury properties in the <span class=\"xn-location\">Bahamas<\/span>\u00a0and their political and charitable donations.<\/p>\n<p>The payments also excluded &#8220;substantial transfers&#8221; made to the bankrupt's firm subsidiaries in the Bahamas and other regions.<\/p>\n<p>The firm added that while some of the properties purchased with the proceeds are in its control or that of government's authorities, the entire &#8220;amount and timing of eventual monetary recoveries cannot be predicted at this time.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, FTX said it is still investigating to identify the firm's &#8220;assets, liabilities and transfers, including a description of intercompany claims among the FTX Debtors and their subsidiaries.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Since he was appointed FTX's new CEO, John Ray has been working on efforts to <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/ftx-reportedly-in-talks-to-recoup-400m-investment-in-modulo-capital\/\">recoup<\/a> the bankrupt firm's <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/ftx-finds-only-1-btc-out-of-1591-customer-owned-at-time-of-collapse\/\">assets<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FTX management said Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) and other top executives of the bankrupt firm received $3.2 billion in payments and loans \u2014 mainly from its sister company, Alameda Research.
