The agency, for instance, sanctioned Tornado Cash and several Ethereum addresses in the past.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Having sanctions on a network will likely result in long wait times and high-priority fees, ruining the user experience.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reasons for high OFAC compliance<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Among the reasons sassal.eth highlighted for high OFAC-compliant blocks number were Ethereum\u2019s heavy reliance on flashbots, more non-censoring relays coming online, and delays in accepting submissions from external builders.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mevboost.org\/\">mevboost.org<\/a>, there are ten active relays, and among them, 75.83% of all relay blocks have been built by Flashbots alone. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-280843 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/blk-1024x443.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"443\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/blk-1024x443.png 1024w, https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/blk-300x130.png 300w, https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/blk-768x332.png 768w, https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/blk.png 1154w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Flashbots is a research and development organization that seeks to reduce the potential harm associated with Maximum Extractable Value (MEV).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Further, the MEV Watch censorship leaderboards include Stakehound, Ether Capital, Celsius network, and even Binance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-280859 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/lead.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"566\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/lead.png 584w, https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/lead-300x291.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 584px) 100vw, 584px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">MEV Watch states that if users stake with top offenders on this list, they would directly contribute to Ethereum's censorship.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Despite fears of total censorship, some Twitter users believe Ethereum will never be 100% OFAC compliant.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Personally have been underwhelmed by the OFAC block production outcry and am hopeful it will die down now.<\/p>\n<p>My take: ETH will never be 100% OFAC and txs will always make it in over some number of blocks.
