The spokesperson added:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;With previous such downtimes of the Armanino real-time attestation, the problem was resolved promptly within a day.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>Real-Time Audits<\/h2>\n<p>On Nov. 9, Nexo co-founder and Managing Partner <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/fears-grow-over-new-wave-of-cefi-bankruptcies-nexo-distances-itself-from-ftx\/\">Antoni Trenchev<\/a> took to Twitter, saying the company has no exposure to FTX. Trenchev also pointed out that Armanino's real-time audit evidenced the company's solvency.<\/p>\n<p>The real-time audit was first rolled out in <a href=\"https:\/\/nexo.io\/blog\/nexo-passes-real-time-armanino-audit-becomes-the-first-crypto-lender-to-shed-light-on-reserves\">Sept. 2021<\/a> to provide greater &#8220;transparency, security, and peace of mind&#8221; for Nexo users.<\/p>\n<p>However, critics maintain that Armanino does not give an opinion on the company's financial health, only that assets exceed liabilities.<\/p>\n<h2>Insolvency fears<\/h2>\n<p>A tweet from <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/VersusBtc\/status\/1592805644146728961\">@VersusBTC<\/a> sparked the speculation on Nov. 16. He noted Armanino's attestation was missing from the latest report. The accompanying screen grab showed an error message preventing confirmation that assets exceed liabilities for Nov. 16.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Breaking: NEXO real time audit is under maintenance!<br \/>Normally they publish a new audit every day at 2am UTC.<\/p>\n<p>Not today! <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/0KnF8HrWdb\">pic.twitter.com\/0KnF8HrWdb<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Bitcoin vs. Gold (@VersusBtc) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/VersusBtc\/status\/1592805644146728961?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 16, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>However, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NexoAngel1\/status\/1592807326687367168\">@NexoAngel1<\/a> commented that audit partner Armanino is having technical difficulties with its oracle price feed, leading to the error message. The attestation will go live once the issue has been fixed.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Our partners are experiencing a technical difficulty with fetching USD pricing data. Thank you for your patience.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; NexoAngel I (@NexoAngel1) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NexoAngel1\/status\/1592807326687367168?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 16, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Nexo_CE\/status\/1362732644635656219\">Nexo Angels<\/a> are Nexo community members who work directly with the company's Community Engagement team.<\/p>\n<h2>Insolvency rumors run rampant<\/h2>\n<p>The cryptocurrency community is on high alert following FTX announcing <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/ftx-files-for-bankruptcy-as-sam-bankman-fried-resigns-as-ceo\/\">Chapter 11 bankruptcy<\/a> on Nov. 11.<\/p>\n<p>With collective billions down the drain, trust in cryptocurrency has hit a low. More so, considering FTX was widely regarded as a credible company before it filed for bankruptcy, and the filing happening not long after the Terra implosion.<\/p>\n<p>In response to concerns, CeFi platforms that are still standing have sought to reassure users through various means, including some voluntarily reporting Proof of Reserves. However, doubts remain over the efficacy of this practice, especially if liabilities are not stated.<\/p>\n<p>Referencing Sam Bankman-Fried, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/joshnomics\/status\/1590006897259991042\">@joshnomics<\/a> summed up the general sentiment by sarcastically saying that he should act irresponsibly and criminally to achieve crypto billionaire status.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">So I finally figured out what is separating me from the billionaires in crypto.
