{"id":273637,"date":"2022-11-08T19:47:10","date_gmt":"2022-11-08T19:47:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/?p=273637"},"modified":"2022-11-09T00:05:50","modified_gmt":"2022-11-09T00:05:50","slug":"coinbase-kraken-down-as-bitcoin-breaks-below-june-low","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/coinbase-kraken-down-as-bitcoin-breaks-below-june-low\/","title":{"rendered":"Coinbase, Kraken down as Bitcoin breaks below June low"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li>Kraken and Coinbase have both been experiencing connectivity issues in the past hour.<\/li>\n<li>Just before 19:00 UTC, Kraken <a href=\"https:\/\/status.kraken.com\/?utm_source=embed\">announced<\/a> that it was investigating reports from users who reportedly had difficulty connecting to Kraken both on desktop and mobile.<\/li>\n<li>The issue was still being investigated at press time.<\/li>\n<li>Coinbase <a href=\"https:\/\/status.coinbase.com\/\">noted<\/a> a similar issue, saying some of its users were unable to sign in to their accounts and experienced slow loading. The exchange managed to identify the issue and implement a fix within an hour.<\/li>\n<li>Connectivity issues the exchanges experienced fueled rumors that the services were down due to a &#8220;bank run.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Bitcoin saw its price drop below its June low, struggling to reach $18,000 at press time. FTT's sharp drop dragged the rest of the market with it, devastating Bitcoin's price after a short-lived pump pushed everything into the green.<\/li>\n<li>As previously covered by CryptoSlate, FTT's price spiked and then tanked on news that Binance was intending to acquire FTX.<\/li>\n<li>The exchange has been struggling with insolvency rumors for days. FTX admitted defeat earlier today saying it required an <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/binance-to-fully-acquire-ftx\/\">investment<\/a> from Binance to solve its liquidity crunch.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kraken and Coinbase have both been experiencing connectivity issues in the past hour.
