Welcome to law.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; hodlonaut \ud83c\udf2e\u26a1\ud83d\udd11 \ud83d\udc1d (@hodlonaut) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hodlonaut\/status\/1583086284792205312?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 20, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The six-day trial ended on <a href=\"https:\/\/coingeek.com\/magnus-hodlonaut-granath-closes-day-6-with-closing-arguments-in-satoshi-trial-norway-video\/\">Sept. 20<\/a>, but an embargo prevented the result from being disclosed until Oct 20.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/lopp\/status\/1583090808042926081\">Jameson Lopp<\/a> tweeted his thoughts on the matter and said that the evidence presented was sufficiently factual to state Wright had lied in attempting to prove he is Satoshi Nakamoto.<\/p>\n<p>Granath filed the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hodlonaut\/status\/1535720504832757761\">lawsuit<\/a> as a preemptive action against Wright to obtain a <span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">declaratory judgment that the tweets he posted were lawful, made under free speech and that he was not liable to pay damages to Wright.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Wright claimed that Granath's social media posts were defamatory and had damaged his reputation. A court hearing to answer this is scheduled for <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/twitter-influencer-hodlonaut-drums-up-support-ahead-of-craig-wright-trial\/\">late 2023<\/a>, in London, according to Wright's legal team.<\/p>\n<p>However, the result of the Norweigan trial will be considered in the London hearing.<\/p>\n<p>Members of the Bitcoin community have taken to social media to congratulate Granath.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Hodlonaut,&#8221; also known as Magnus Granath, took to Twitter to declare victory in his defamation lawsuit against self-described Bitcoin creator Craig Wright.
