{"id":264653,"date":"2022-09-28T10:30:49","date_gmt":"2022-09-28T09:30:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/?p=264653"},"modified":"2022-09-28T10:29:42","modified_gmt":"2022-09-28T09:29:42","slug":"do-kwon-lfg-denies-cashing-out-3313-btc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/do-kwon-lfg-denies-cashing-out-3313-btc\/","title":{"rendered":"Do Kwon, LFG deny cashing out 3313 BTC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/companies\/terraform-labs\/\">Terraform Labs<\/a> co-founder <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/people\/do-kwon\/\">Do Kwon<\/a> and Luna Foundation Guard (LFG) have denied reports that the foundation moved to sell 3313 <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/coins\/bitcoin\/\">BTC<\/a> worth over $69 million via KuCoin and OKX crypto exchanges.<\/p>\n<p>Data analytics platform <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoquant.com\/asset\/btc\/summary\">CryptoQuant<\/a> reportedly identified a wallet address created on Binance by the LFG shortly after an arrest warrant was issued for Do Kwon on <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/luna-sinks-20-after-south-korea-issues-arrest-warrant-for-do-kwon\/\">Sept. 14.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>By Sept. 17, the LFG had transferred a total of 3313 BTC through Binance, with 1354 BTC flowing into Kucoin, while OKX received 1959 BTC.<\/p>\n<p>South Korean authorities reportedly requested that the exchanges freeze the assets. Kucoin has frozen 1354 BTC\u00a0 while OKX is yet to oblige to the request.<\/p>\n<h2>Do Kwon and LFG denies cashing out<\/h2>\n<p>The Luna Foundation Guard (LFG) denied creating any new wallet address except its public treasury' address.\u00a0 It added that it has not moved its BTC holdings since the Luna ecosystem crash in May 2022.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The LFG treasury\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24BTC&src=ctag&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$BTC<\/a> wallet is: <\/p>\n<p>bc1q9d4ywgfnd8h43da5tpcxcn6ajv590cg6d3tg6axemvljvt2k76zs50tv4q<\/p>\n<p>LFG hasn\u2019t created any new wallets or moved <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24BTC&src=ctag&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$BTC<\/a> or other tokens held by LFG since May 2022.<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CoinDesk?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@CoinDesk<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/iamsandali?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@iamsandali<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/cryptoquant_com?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@cryptoquant_com<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/VFN8A4mJRo\">https:\/\/t.co\/VFN8A4mJRo<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; LFG | Luna Foundation Guard (@LFG_org) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LFG_org\/status\/1574882188075606059?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 27, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>A fact check into the <a href=\"http:\/\/bc1q9d4ywgfnd8h43da5tpcxcn6ajv590cg6d3tg6axemvljvt2k76zs50tv4q\">Treasury wallet<\/a> shared by the LFG reveals it completed its last transaction on May 18, 2022. The wallet received approximately 71,000 BTC and spent 70,736 BTC. As of press time, it holds 313 BTC worth approximately $5.8 million.<\/p>\n<p>Do Kwon supported the LFG's claim adding that he has not used Kucoin nor OKX exchanges in the last year.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">What has been probably the most surprising in all this is the amount of misinformation that gets spread.<\/p>\n<p>There is no \u201ccashout\u201d as alleged, i havent used kucoin or okex in at least the last year, and no funds of tfl, lfg or any other entities have been frozen. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/E1cbKgoqQz\">https:\/\/t.co\/E1cbKgoqQz<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Do Kwon \ud83c\udf15 (@stablekwon) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/stablekwon\/status\/1574976623551877120?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 28, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Do Kwon has been accused severally of miking the Terra ecosystem. Back in June, Terra employees accused him of withdrawing some <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/do-kwon-accused-of-siphoning-8m-a-month-from-failed-terra-project\/\">$80 million<\/a> before the Luna collapse.<\/p>\n<p>Do Kwon also denied allegations that he withdrew<a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/do-kwon-denies-fresh-allegations-of-withdrawing-2-7b-from-terra-ecosystem-via-degenbox\/\"> $2.7 million<\/a> from the Terra ecosystem through Degenbox by Abracadabra Money.<\/p>\n<h2>Do Kwon wanted globally<\/h2>\n<p>Following <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/interpol-issues-worldwide-arrest-warrant-for-do-kwon\/\">Interpol's red warrant<\/a> issued against Do Kwon on Sept. 27, law enforcement authorities worldwide are on the lookout to arrest him.<\/p>\n<p>Do Kwon however claims that he is making <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/terra-founder-do-kwon-claims-he-is-making-zero-efforts-to-hide\/\">zero effort<\/a> to hide or evade arrest.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Terraform Labs co-founder Do Kwon and Luna Foundation Guard (LFG) have denied reports that the foundation moved to sell 3313 BTC worth over $69 million via KuCoin and OKX crypto exchanges.
