The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BitcoinFear\/status\/1523452724100370432?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1523452724100370432%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fcointelegraph.com%2Fnews%2Fbitcoin-whales-jumping-ship-as-exchange-inflows-reach-3-month-high\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bitcoin Fear and Greed Index<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> currently sits at 11, an extreme fear region.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>BTC continues plunging, but daily transactions remain above 200K<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Following the bullish performance in 2021, many analysts and organizations predicted that the BTC would continue surging. An example is American multinational investment bank <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/goldman-sachs-reveal-how-bitcoin-can-reach-100k-in-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Goldman Sachs<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which said the flagship cryptocurrency could trade above $100,000. The bank said BTC could unlock this milestone if investors considered it a store of value.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, a series of events, including the COVID Omicron variant and fears of hiked interest rates, saw BTC plunge sharply from its November 10 all-time high of $68,692.14. At the time of writing, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/coins\/bitcoin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">BTC<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is changing hands at $33,503.12 after losing 3.17% in the day. This price represents a 14.06% drop over the past seven days.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As BTC continues underperforming, Glassnode\u2019s lead on-chain analyst, Checkmate, took to Twitter to advise crypto adopters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Checkmate said:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Many of you are waiting for the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Bitcoin?src=hashtag_click\">#Bitcoin<\/a> &#8216;capitulation wick'. If it happens, and it really is THE capitulation wick, the majority of folks won't step in a buy it because the fear will be too great. This is the way it always is, and always will be. Tip: have a plan, stick to it.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Although BTC is crashing, the number of daily transactions remains unaffected. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Data from <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ycharts.com\/indicators\/bitcoin_transactions_per_day\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">YCharts<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> indicates BTC recorded 233,892 transactions carrying about $30 billion on May 8.
