Also Apple Pay, Google Pay and Paypal. The company first started taking crypto payments in November 2021, which allowed customers to purchase movie tickets and other services online using Bitcoin (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/coins\/bitcoin\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">BTC<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">), Ether (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/coins\/ethereum\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ETH<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), and Litecoin (LTC).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The company\u2019s move into Dogecoin and Shiba Inu was expected since early this year when CEO Adam Aron tweeted that the company would accept the doggy coins no later than March 2021. The company did not disclose the other cryptocurrencies it will accept. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Though eternally popular, as it seems, the dog tokens have received an increasing interest of late, not the least through the aid of Tesla CEO Elon Musk\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/elon-musks-43b-bid-on-twitter-causes-doge-shib-to-spike\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">announcement<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on April 14 that he\u2019s interested in buying the whole of Twitter, not \u201cjust\u201d the 9% he <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/musk-buys-2-9-billion-stake-in-twitter-what-does-this-mean-for-dogecoin\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">purchased<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> recently.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meanwhile, Robinhood\u2019s CEO Vlad Tenev put together a case for how Dogecoin can become the <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/how-dogecoin-could-become-the-currency-of-the-internet-according-to-robinhood-ceo\/\">internet\u2019s native currency<\/a>.
