We\u2019re thrilled to be bringing this vision to life with one of the most trusted companies in Australia.\u201d<\/b><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2><b>Crypto.com\u2019s focus on payments<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Crypto.com\u2019s recent focus on crypto payments is driven by internal research which revealed that 75% of its customers are interested in paying with crypto in 2022. Referring to Cyrpto.com\u2019s\u00a0 research and commenting on the company\u2019s partnership with Peregrine Corporation, Mohan said:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><b>\u201cA note to merchants: customers are ready when you are! This is a great opportunity to increase your addressable market, reduce dispute costs, and lower transaction fees.\u201d<\/b><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Despite being the largest, this partnership is not Crypto.com\u2019s first venture in Australia regarding payment services. The company also launched a payment app and a Visa card in the country in 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Australia\u2019s take on crypto\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/?s=gemini\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gemini<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gemini.com\/state-of-crypto\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">latest report<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Australia ranks 8th in crypto ownership in the world with 18% of the populace holding crypto. The country\u2019s government has been publicly pro-crypto as well. It recently <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/australian-official-who-owns-ethereum-says-it-is-no-threat-to-the-countrys-financial-system\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">stated<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that it does not perceive crypto as a threat and is <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/australia-eyes-sweeping-new-crypto-regulations\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">working on regulation<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to protect crypto customers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meanwhile, a recent study from Australian crypto exchange company Swyftx revealed that most business leaders are open to implementing crypto payments within their businesses.
