{"id":228230,"date":"2022-03-29T14:55:50","date_gmt":"2022-03-29T13:55:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/?p=228230"},"modified":"2022-03-29T13:56:07","modified_gmt":"2022-03-29T12:56:07","slug":"binance-integrates-defi-and-cefi-as-one-stop-shop-with-bridge-2-0-launch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/binance-integrates-defi-and-cefi-as-one-stop-shop-with-bridge-2-0-launch\/","title":{"rendered":"Binance integrates DeFi and CeFi as \u2018one-stop shop\u2019 with Bridge 2.0 launch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Binance, the world\u2019s leading cryptocurrency exchange by trading volumes, has launched a new iteration of its blockchain interoperability service, dubbed Bridge 2.0, that allows users to access both decentralized (DeFi) and centralized (CeFi) finance systems directly from the platform\u2019s app.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to a press release shared with <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CryptoSlate<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> today, Bridge 2.0 enables customers to \u201cquickly and securely bridge assets from any blockchain to the BNB Chain,\u201d the exchange\u2019s blockchain ecosystem.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>\u201cBinance users can now bridge a variety of unlisted tokens onto the BNB Smart Chain as B-Tokens,\u201d the announcement stated. \u201cThe bridged tokens that are listed on Binance will be stored in the Funding or Spot Wallet, while unlisted bridged tokens will be transferred to the Funding Wallet.\u201d<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Additionally, even some tokens that are not listed on Binance\u2014but are supported by Bridge 2.0\u2014can now be \u201cbridged in\u201d and \u201cbridged out\u201d between their native blockchains and BNB Chain via deposit and withdrawal functions.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Building crypto bridges<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Essentially, the service allows crypto enthusiasts to \u201cfreeze\u201d tokens on their original blockchains and create their functionally identical \u201ccopies\u201d on Binance\u2019s BNB Chain. As such, users can transact their digital assets outside of their native networks.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Naturally, \u201cbridged\u201d tokens can always be reverted back to their native networks by burning their \u201ccopies\u201d on BNB Chain and \u201cunfreezing\u201d the original assets. This is done via \u201ca brand new, automated B-Token circulation control system in Binance Bridge 2.0.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>\u201cBinance will not maintain a surplus of \u2018pegged\u2019 tokens except for a buffer size in hot wallets,\u201d the exchange explained. \u201cWhen users want to switch from the \u2018pegged\u2019 tokens back to the original tokens, they can deposit the \u2018pegged\u2019 tokens into Binance and withdraw the original tokens.
