The team behind Brave, the privacy- and crypto-friendly web browser, has been developing the browser\u2019s wallet feature for quite some time. The Brave Wallet is now live on both desktop and mobile platforms.<\/span><\/p>\n

Brave Wallet is built into the browser itself and does not require installation of a browser plug-in, as do other wallets like Metamask and Coinbase Wallet. According to Brave, having a built-in browser does not slow down the browser\u2019s performance as plug-in wallets may do.<\/span><\/p>\n

To celebrate the occasion, Brave is announcing the Brave Swap-stakes crypto sweepstakes, a series of giveaways that last for six days starting today, Tuesday 8th of March. Brave will give away fungible tokens as well as NFTs, crescendoing with the give-away of a Bored Ape Yacht Club (<\/span>BAYC<\/span><\/a>) NFT worth something along the lines of 80 ether (<\/span>ETH<\/span><\/a>).<\/span><\/p>\n

Swap-stakes offers crypto assets and NFTs<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Also as a part of the campaign, the Brave Wallet <\/span>Swap-stakes<\/span><\/a> offers crypto assets from ether (ETH) to Solana (<\/span>SOL<\/span><\/a>) to Basic Attention Token (<\/span>BAT<\/span><\/a>), and some of the most coveted NFTs on the market today, such as Lazy Lions, Pudgy Penguins, and World of Women.<\/span><\/p>\n

The contest runs from 12:01am PST on Tuesday, March 8, to 11:59 pm PST on Monday, March 14, 2022, with new prizes every day. To be eligible for a given day\u2019s prizes, users must have a Brave Wallet address that\u2019s active on that day and use the Brave Swap feature in that wallet to make at least one crypto swap on that day.<\/span><\/p>\n

To be eligible for the grand prizes, users must have a Brave Wallet address that\u2019s active at some point during the contest and use the Brave Swap feature in that wallet to make at least one crypto swap during the contest active dates.<\/span><\/p>\n

Brave Wallet is free to use on both desktop and mobile. To use it, new users should download the Brave browser on their desktop or mobile device. To access the Wallet on desktop, open the Brave browser and click the Wallet icon in the toolbar. To access Brave Wallet on mobile, open the browser menu and then tap the Wallet icon. If existing Brave browser users don\u2019t see the wallet icon, they'll first need to <\/span>update<\/span><\/a> to the latest version of Brave.<\/span><\/p>\n

Look for the \u201cgolden ticket\u201d in your wallet<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Each winner will be randomly selected by their wallet address; users know if they won if they find a freshly minted \u201cgolden ticket\u201d NFT dropped into the user\u2019s wallet. This ticket is proof of winning, and redeemable for the actual prize. Winners will be asked to communicate with Brave at an @brave.com email address, and use a specific codeword. Both of these \u2013 along with further instructions \u2013 will appear on the ticket. Brave will drop prizes in the same wallet in which winners received the golden ticket.<\/span><\/p>\n

As pointed out in the press release<\/a>, winners will never be asked to share their private key or any wallet information. Please avoid any resource that claims otherwise, as it may be a phishing attempt. And do not respond to anyone who hasn\u2019t reached out using an @brave.com email address.<\/span><\/p>\n

Brave browser<\/span><\/a> is a privacy- and crypto web browser with a built-in crypto wallet. The BAT token issued by Brave is used to earn rewards for certain ads in the browser, and for rewarding content producers who participate in the system. The BAT token is ranked at number 94 by market cap.
