After the correction, it found strong support at $43K\u2013successfully breaking the downtrend, and climbing above $44,800 yesterday.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_219522\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-219522\" style=\"width: 687px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-219522\" src=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/0.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"687\" height=\"414\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/0.png 1442w, https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/0-300x181.png 300w, https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/0-1024x616.png 1024w, https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/0-768x462.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 687px) 100vw, 687px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-219522\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Bitcoin\/USD price chart (TradingView)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>According to the data from Into the Block, with the price surpassing the $45K mark, the percentage of addresses holding Bitcoin and profiting just recorded a multi-month high\u201367.32% to be exact.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The % of addresses profiting in <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24BTC&src=ctag&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$BTC<\/a> just recorded a multi-month high.<\/p>\n<p>As the price of <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Bitcoin?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Bitcoin<\/a> pushes above $45,000, the GIOM indicator reveals that now 67.32% of the addresses holding BTC are profiting from their positions.<\/p>\n<p>This is the highest % since December 29th of 2021. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Pm6HwFSqEx\">pic.twitter.com\/Pm6HwFSqEx<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; IntoTheBlock (@intotheblock) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/intotheblock\/status\/1491817055607267335?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 10, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Global in\/out of the money, or GIOM indicator, is an on-chain metric that shows how many addresses hold the asset\u2013 revealing in which proportion, and are they in profit or loss depending on the purchase price vs current price.<\/p>\n<h2>\u201cMega\u201d whales persistently buying BTC since the end of 2021<\/h2>\n<p>Meanwhile, Bitcoin flows suggest that long-term holders, especially those with the biggest bags, remained unfazed by January\u2019s market downturn\u2013continuing to add to their positions.<\/p>\n<p>According to crypto analytics firm Santiment, \u201cmega\u201d whales have been persistently buying Bitcoin since the end of 2021\u2013and as a group accumulated 220,000 Bitcoin.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\ud83d\udc33 Mega whales of <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Bitcoin?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Bitcoin<\/a> have accumulated significantly the past 7 weeks.
