The sudden burst of ads enticing customers and encouraging them to invest might be proven harmful and can compromise the investor's ability to make sound financial decisions.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting also examined and conveyed how crypto is still an emerging sector in India, and the government needs to take &#8220;small proactive steps&#8221; to accommodate <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/why-the-new-york-mayor-is-in-favor-of-crypto-education\/\">crypto<\/a> proceedings in the country. In the meanwhile, the authorities have also expressed their concern over alleged money laundering and terror financing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbctv18.com\/cryptocurrency\/pm-modi-chairs-cryptocurrency-meet-concerns-over-money-laundering-terror-financing-using-crypto-raised-11451812.htm\/amp\">issues<\/a> that are often associated with cryptocurrency trading.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, the authorities have also made it clear that crypto markets cannot become <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ndtv.com\/india-news\/centre-raises-concern-over-use-of-crypto-for-money-laundering-terror-financing-pm-chairs-key-meet-2609822\/amp\/1\">avenues<\/a> to finance such activities at any cost and hence strict regulation will be practiced to curb such developments.<\/p>\n<p>Misinformed crypto ad campaigns have been a source of global concern. Irresponsible crypto ads have pushed many countries to take action against such developments and curb the spread of false information to protect investors.<\/p>\n<p>The UK's Advertising Standards Authority had recently banned a misleading on Bitcoin that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/technology\/2021\/nov\/13\/ban-ads-for-cryptocurrencies-at-stations-and-on-buses-tfl-urged\">propagated <\/a>misinformation and promised big returns to investors in London.<\/p>\n<p>India will reportedly adopt a &#8220;progressive approach&#8221; and practice strict supervision to suppress any unregulated crypto activities.
